WHAT DO GORILLA SAY: PART TWO

So, Stu has sent me on a magical quest to help him translate gorilla-speech in comic books... why? Come on already, the blog is called Gibbering Madness...

I found a classic here.. from Lorna the Jungle Queen #1 (July 1953), script by Don Rico, art by Werner Roth; reprinted in Jungle Action #1 (October 1972).






I chose it, perhaps not because it adds to our topic of 'WHAT DO GORILLA SAY?' but because I just love the captioning at the top. They clearly thought this was the Sharktopus vs Whalewolf of its day... OH THEY HAD NO IDEA!

But... WHAT DO GORILLA SAY? He is clearly screaming. But in anger, defiance or pain?
Perhaps imminent defeat... the giant snake seems to have the upper hand... metaphorically speaking.
